It all started with a purple envelope in the mail. I know it sounds crazy but..it's my favorite color so I thought I don't know the first thing about finding the right realtor so I called the man in the PURPLE envelope! It was the best move I could of made. He was very nice, informative and helpful. He put me in touch with a great probate attorney as well. Our family has utilized Rich's extensive knowledge, experience, and expertise in the real estate field for many years now, during which he has consistently been dedicated to helping us in every way... and this quality was never more valuable to us than during 2020! With Rich and Anna's help, we had purchased a nice property that we intended to occupy after our planned retirement in 2020. During the interim few years, Rich helped us with all facets of leasing it and learning the various ins and outs of being good landlords. Then came 2020, and although we had structured our tenants' lease to expire mid-year so that we could renovate and move in ourselves, the unforeseen pandemic triggered a disastrous cycle of never-ending "eviction moratoriums" for rental homes. These moratoriums became the "norm" and were continuously extended for over a year! Due to the lack of cooperation, hostility, neglect of upkeep, and overall neighborhood threat, we became faced with the difficult decision of having to sell our property in order to avoid more lost income and eventual foreclosure. Here again, Rich stepped in and "went to bat" for us to find a buyer who would be fair and understanding of our predicament. At the same time, Rich also assisted us with strategies to remove these nightmare tenants, which was (and still is), next to impossible in LA county. However, due in part to Rich's persistence we finally managed to sell our property. At this point there are really no words to express the relief that we feel at having such a huge problem resolved!

Rich and his team worked long and hard to create a mutually beneficial transaction around my housing situation. My transaction was complex and required a team of professionals to work with my bank, servicing company and HOA. I never doubted his abilities and many other agents would have given up on me and the process. I have come to gain a new friend and real estate agent for my future needs. I have a very long story about Rich and Hailey, it is something I can go on and on about how wonderful they are. My fiancé and I were in the middle of having our home put in an auction, with only days left. We went to see at least 5 different people, everyone had the same answers for us. I prayed and prayed and asked God to appoint us to someone who truly cared about helping people, we just needed help and someone with knowledge and experience in this situation. I had a great experience working with Rich and his staff, particularly Joanne and Hayley. I used Alta for a short sale of a condo I lived in for 18 years, so I went in with a lot of trepidation. But Rich eased my nerves, and Hayley and Joanne always kept me posted on what was needed from the banks. As the sale closed, I wish I had discovered Rich years earlier. When I was laid off, I immediately tried to short sale my condo. The realtor was good, but not as well versed as Rich. As a result, our first short sale fell apart in escrow. In this world these days, it's hard to get good customer service, as I had learned from personal experience and when I was a journalist. But the service I got from Rich, Joanne and Hayley is outstanding. Can't say enough good things about them.

I only wished we could have hired him to contact the bank, made the reply letters for us but we live on the east coast and current laws prevented that, RICHARD helped us answered calls and texts for no compensation.
